When visible light hits the back of a sunglass (or optical lens) the result can
be up to 5% glare ‘bounce-back’.
Modern anti-reflective coatings applied to the back of the lens can overcome
this. However, like all things much depends on the quality and quantity of the
coatings.
Brenner lenses have four top quality anti-reflective coating and on top of
this, to further break up any residual glare a fifth bloom mirror coat is
applied.
Poor quality or lesser-layered coatings tend to wear off in unsightly patches,
which can interfere with visual quantity. Brenners multicoat process is a key
